Through the direct representation of such artifacts, which are like compasses, and by enduring meditation on the elusive ranging dream, recollection by the individual of the collective effort which necessarily appears as a giant amalgamation of minute details can be achieved and in its achievement may be called the grasp by the higher faculty of that called plan. That inspirational moment of revelation to have a glimpse upon the plan is like the exhiliration felt when gazing upon a star the impression is granted of the true grandeur of the distance, a clue to the magnificence of the universe. That nature is of a true ineffable grandeur but that our finite ability nevertheless could imagine and eject a material logic to architect a situation of ourselves within, thereby finding our own microcosmos within the great cosmos is the miraculous nature of the human being in essence. This is a clue to our nobility in spirit and our greatness for the novel in America. Through the plan we can by grace momentarily to continuously see of the elevation through our granted faculty and our nurture existence in a greater scheme, far wider and bigger than imagined in a previous century - we owe it to ourselves to make and to imagine and to constitute the plan which should allow our launch of at least some of us to find a new reality beyond the esteemed civilizations of the earth.
The possibilities from the plan occupy an infinite tableau, of destinations, of means, of ideas, of theories, of engineering, of spectacle, of phenomenal revelation, of mathematics and arts, of architecture and vision. The inventory of all which had been dreamed lies concealed or not yet written. What determines could be wrought with hard learned imagination, towards the manifest realization of designs not yet made, could only startle the common mind. The great adventure of voyage and settlement which bear commitment of the good and the care of the home planet has yet begun. Though our ventures and designs are already many, the richness and wealth of the economy in space to come depend only on our imagination, and the permanence of the generations of ingenuity and the discipline of the space future rely entirely on the expression of the human premise making probable being in the universe. We responsibly predict that trials will exist that test our endurance over hardships and obstacles, and that test our commitment to find the premise and foundation for the continuance of this destiny manifest, which by the furthest vision, will discover a new kind of civilization upon yet designed relations with the multitude of civil cultures across the world. What rationales explicitly posited in languages or logics shall contain in their kernel the vast dream and the manifolded actions that promise to spill over the brim? Today our solution is to maintain focus on the crystal quartz of the engineered complexes and the actuality of realizing specific objectives. The quartz of engineered splendors and the actuality of actions form the jewel through which the white light of the grand future diffracts, and lead to the false assumption that such a future civilization is nothing but a technical society, which depress many for the falsely projected reality consisting of nothing but technical works that by its sophistication and profound engineering suppose great but narrow learning and therefore could communicate to only a few and inspire even less. What fruits in particular should come of the space endeavor could fill volumes to stand for time immortal yet the task remains of not merely documenting but to partake in the discovery of the paradise. The coalescence of one human individual’s dreams and efforts with the immortal program towards order for utopia brings the particular to the universal through qualification into the context that transcends each finite affair. The humility experienced by the rest of us towards those whose courage is mighty for the reality of that voyage, seeming to mean a few days but in phenomenal experience an eternity by the minute, is natural, for we are poised as with the rest before the gate to the universe, burdened with bewilderment and questions which to the astronauts now in their embodiment of historical humanity appears peripheral. Yet what tomorrow’s architecture in environment and amenities by production and establishment of today’s span, the past and next fifty years, such that astronauts may have for themselves designs that embrace them and safegaurd their bare lives and therefore they could afford to carry more challenges beyond the bodily risks is yet to be known. For today, in this year, we can know that the affair of traversing with body into the space beyond earth’s surface will set forth one more step that realizes that impossibility previous supposed in all the centuries before. For that it may be called a “milestone” is to give respects to the plan, which is larger than any one life time could contain, but it is an understatement for the addition to the enduring tableau of historically extraordinary human acts. No misstep must occur in the preparation, and this I mentioned before with worry concerning whether risks have been minimized even should costs rise more than projected. It used to be understood that knowledge is an object whose value to the soul remains ambiguous and undefined, that is, until it is defined by the granting of spirit and by grace, through precisely action, that turns it to a good or an ill, ie. by willful interpretation. It is the perpetuation of motion that wills knowledge to be applied to the good in outcome and in influence that gave us the discourse and practice of discipline. Why is it not the case that we should apply due discipline to this expensive action of presenting our ambassadors’ bodily presence to the beautiful yet treacherous body of the celestial moon? Is this effort to touch upon the soils in stellar space not of so much ambition carefully cultivated and tilled through the decades prior commencement of the program in the late period of the first decade of the millenium? Should the southern lunar pole be a treasured object the applying of discipline for the perfection of the venture is within warrant and should be done. The safekeeping of the invested lifes of that star citizenry called the astronaut class is absolutely crucial to the future of the human mission to place our being in the universe. Once, to mean for centuries toiling away, the sky was a fabric with dotted lights, though imbued with meaning, the sky was undefinable but by poets’ lyrical guidence. Today, this undefined quality then belonging to the place earth presumed home now assumes the definitions of spatiality and the probability of being place. Presenting ourselves through our engineered logics in the crystal of perception instrument and craft of flight, we have had the solar system and then too a little of the universe represented to us, so that we shall know then of all time by the evidence collected that the universe is big and it is there, and for those of us with acute awareness of existence, it is here in which we traverse a little distance in orbital path each and every year. When we can occasion, after so much work each day towards the dream, the opportunity to think awhile of what is realistic for the next little time, the next few decades or century, we may happily allot to ourselves that span of space called cislunar for our human friendly crafts and formulations so that our children may choose to dwell in that zone, architected, and dream a little of our bewildering finitude amidst the infinite. Within the grand and vast a stage should be forwarded in which those situations by bodies become a realistic act, that action of existing inside endlessness. It does not need to be so, for in actuality space is no desolation even if magnificent, for actuality we shall actualize the environs designed to place the delicate soul into a benign cosmos. The change of attitude towards space is but slight, for the imagination of architecture began as early or late as the design of the interior of the Apollo crafts. This makes the act of departing from the planet slightly odd, but of a visionary value so great upon that the place of architecture could discover that the human premise, being technologically enabled, could to find ground to make worlds beyond this planet of energy. To wit, along with the human premise will eventually move the architecture premise - then that even architects must catch up with the creative impulse launching itself away from this energied planet that supports all worlds we have made and known in common, then a new world or worlds that previously have no fact to be found be found.
Bringing cargo with us to space is one thing, and another to be transported even by one’s own piloting, to another place already made. To imagine afresh what constitutes a world for it is in worlds we live in and transit through should become with outcome of knowledge that informs the rigging and righting and raising of worlds, however small at first, but at least it should be in relation and so situated. All our works are here. Even despite that dream we should one far day be more to partake of the ancient substance in erecting those orders greater than our mortal minds could comprehend, the stride for discovering through works the true human premise as one in the universe was always of a reach beyond our modest scope of being amidst the community of men, women, and children. The endeavors to place with physics in the knowledge repertoire and architectonics by principles which then by speed of light in mind adapt to this newly found dimension which has natural borders in concrete none, we architects are so lucky. What mathematics should reveal of the concealed nature our ventures will begin in survey that forgets not the reason to erect whether through subtle actions of ascriptions or through complex actions by those virtuosos whose might today are as of those of the cathedrale masterbuilders of the past centuries. This matter is of arguably a greater concern to the persistence of the program in general than the amazing feats which we have come to rely on as a pattern of America, as today the general picture for conflict based intrusion cannot yet be determined to a satisfactory degree, and this in particularly for any specific entity, including the space program.
It is of our mental habits in a stable and peaceful society to see one or two isolated events and imagine that they are the rare offenses which do not add up to a pattern, that is, they are not representative of the general scenario, which therefore one could pretend not to have noted, or otherwise one would brush away. The largeness of the program and its distributed nature considered, the task to safeguard it should not be immediately viewed as being discouraged by the difficulty of such efforts. Like anything else that must succeed for failures are of consequences immeasurable, investigation ought to occur alongside in the same time frame as attempts to secure its existence, allowing the two to inform each other as per the actual challenges before the task. It is always difficult to imagine that something of immense value to us and everybody we know could too face the risks of cancellation by those who cannot see the value of the object, yet that such is the tendency of the foreign who do not appreciate the delicate and wide ranging matters of discussion and discourse.
